Much of this you have to use to understand. Google meet (just use it and you’ll see) is not at all practical for casual conversation, nor official meetings, and is still very clunky and even MORE BUGGY. This is most infuriating in group chats, because it sends a message with a link, but most people do not suspect a call unless they actually hear a REAL CALL. The update now requires you to set a google meet in order to call or FaceTime. Other bugs included some inducing whence sending photos and videos, as well as the extremely poor quality in all videos (though this is not a bug, just the way that the app is.) What has further lowered my rating on Hangouts is their most recent update. From various things such as when you join a call, it would act as if you were receiving a call for over five seconds and you couldn’t hear nor talk. It’s a very good app and has many good uses.īefore the most recent update, there were occasional bugs. Otherwise I definitely recommend getting hangouts. Idk if it’s a problem with my phone but every time I use the call on my phone that happens. I also have a problem with calling on hangouts for some reason on my phone the volume is very low and if I call on my iPad it’s normal. Which is actually really good and I get a crisp sound. Many of my friends also told me about this problem before so we just use google meet. So, I tried fixing my WiFi but that didn’t help either. They are very glitchy and it makes it hard to hear what people are saying.

Other than just a few minor issues (some may be due to my knowledge on how to use the app) for me the worst thing on hangouts is when you have hangouts calls.
I love using the app and there aren’t many issues I have to face with.
I talk to my friends and work on projects for school. Google hangouts is a very good app and I use it all the time.
